Everything that rely more on logic than on table are considered complex.

The most obvious example would be stored procedure/functions They are not data and many people (myself include) discourage their usage

The thing is many legacy used them and continue

Incompatibility

  • Percona's MariaDB don't provide a way to retrieve CHECK
